Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up from the airport (Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport) and drive you to your accommodation. You'll be briefed and get ready for the upcoming safari. If time allows, you can explore the vibrant spots of the city, such as the Cultural Heritage Centre, Maasai, or local markets, and even canoeing at Lake Duluti.
Today's safari begins when the guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8 am after you have finished your breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, arriving around 10 am. Upon arrival at the park's gate, you'll check in and start the game drive. Tarangire National Park is famous for the thousands of elephants that come down to the park during the dry season in search of water. Still, plenty of other wildlife species roam the park such as wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards, etc. The park is also a great birding destination, with over 500 species living in Tarangire. During the game drive, you'll enjoy lunch at the Matete picnic site, overlooking the Tarangire River. After lunch, you'll proceed with the game drive until the evening when you exit the park and drive to your accommodation.
Following breakfast today at 8 am, you will drive 20 mins to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. After check-in at the park's gate proceed with the game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is home to 400 bird species, and it is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. The park also contains water buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and the world's largest concentration of baboons. Occasionally, you can spot the tree-climbing lions that the park is famous for. Lunch will be enjoyed at the picnic site in the afternoon, before proceeding with the game drive. After the game drive, you will exit the park and drive back to your accommodation.
After enjoying your tasty breakfast, at 8 am you'll begin your journey to Lake Natron, traveling through one of Tanzania's most picturesque landscapes. Along the way, you’ll pass Maasai villages dotting the arid plains, with herds of livestock grazing. This journey will last for about 3-4 hours before arriving for lunch and resting before going out to enjoy the views and other activities. Lake Natron is home to ancient hominid footprints, the largest breeding ground for lesser flamingo, and Mt. Ol Doinyo Lengai, the only active carbonatite volcano in the world.
After breakfast, you'll depart Lake Natron and drive towards Northern Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch and an evening game drive. Travelers who make it to this corner of the Serengeti will be rewarded with gorgeous landscapes of green rolling hills, granite outcrops and acacia woodlands dotting open savannah, incredible wildlife, and most importantly, massive herds of wildebeest and zebras making the dangerous crossing of the croc-infested Mara River during the great migration in June and July and again in September, October, and November. This sector of the park is also home to the greatest concentration of elephants in the Serengeti, as well as good numbers of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas and diverse resident animals such as giraffes, topi, eland, and hippos. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your accommodation nestled inside Northern Serengeti.

Today, you will wake up early around 6:30 am, and have breakfast. Afterward, you will set out for an early morning or sunrise game drive with our experienced guide. This is a perfect time to witness animals when they are most active, especially predators such as lions and leopards. Most predators prefer this time due to less heat, as the sun hasn't risen yet. Our expert guide will take you to different parts of the park encountering incredible wildlife at every turn. As the afternoon approaches, you will pause for lunch in the wilderness before proceeding with an en-route game drive towards Ngorongoro Highlands for your overnight stay and dinner.
Early in the morning after breakfast around 6:30 am, you'll leave the lodge and descend the Crater. You'll enjoy an incredible 5-6-hour game drive inside this world heritage site. As you descend the crater, be prepared to be amazed by its breathtaking landscape and beauty. Ngorongoro is home to an extraordinary array of wildlife, including the legendary Big Five animals (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos). With our experienced guide, you will set out to witness these animals, especially the rare and difficult-to-find black rhinos. In the afternoon, you will pause for lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site, inhabited by a bloat of hippos and offers panoramic views of the crater. After lunch, you will explore the park. Later, you'll ascend the crater and return to your overnight accommodation in Arusha, filled with memories of the extraordinary safari experience.
organized, timely, responsive, and providing a quality experience
“In late November 2025, a nine-day private tour for my husband and me, was provided by Topy Tours in Arusha, Tanzania. From the initial contact with Jackson at Topy Tours, communication was prompt, all questions answered completely, and prices stated. The tour was outlined and the proposed itinerary experienced.
Our guide, Joseph, was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating, and willingly answered questions about culture, politics, ecology, landscape formation, and many other topics. He quickly understood our desires and made suggestions to customize the tour for us. His knowledge and demeanor were outstanding.
The wildlife encountered ranged from cheetahs, leopards, lions, and elephants to warthogs and leopard tortoises. We are interested in birds. Joseph found and helped identify numerous species.
The Topy Tour safari took us to a wide variety of landscapes with few other tourists and a great abundance of wildlife. The size of one mixed herd of wildebeests and zebras filled our view.
We have no hesitation recommending services provided by Topy Tours.”
“We had a wonderful experience with Topy Tours! Jackson has been very responsive and professional, always available to answer our questions! The hotels and lodges chosen were amazing and always the best option in the given area. The whole package was the best in terms of value for money when comparing with other offers. But what really made our safari unforgettable was our guide Amour. He is an excellent and experienced guide, able to track animals by himself, very approachable and always in a good mood. We saw all the Big Five, including hunting lions and a cheetah family eating their pray.
Amour also shared many stories about wild animals and local culture with us. He is also a great and experienced driver, (which is very important given the state of the roads in the parks). He was also always respectful of safety rules, which was really important to us and made us feel safe during our whole trip.”
Wonderful adventure in the best Tanzania parks safari
“The experience was amazing: we chose "9-day lake Natron and iconic parks safari" with Topy Tours because the journey included all the Parks in the north of Tanzania, in particular Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Northern and Central Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and also the Lake Natron. We arrived in Arusha, near to Kilimangiaro airport, and we finished the safari in the same city. Jackson in the previous months sent us all the program, he is very professional and kind. We are very happy and grateful for this trip: we saw a lot of animals, like elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetah and others. In the Norhern Serengeti we were very lucky because we saw the migration of gnus trough the Mara river, we were very excited! Besides the animals, also the landscape is incredible.
The lodges and the tented camps were wonderful! For two nights we slept into the Serengeti National Park and we saw an elephant and an hippo near our tent! It was amazing. Also the food was delicious. Our guides Ibra and Ciprian were perfect drivers and they described during the trip animals and landscape. So we recommend Topy Tours because is a local agency with excellent quality/price. Thank you very much Jackson, I hope to return to Tanzania and if so, we will choose again Topy Tours!”
Exceptional planning of the tour & great driver + guide!
“When I started looking for African safari, I was not sure which tour company to pick. I have researched and requested quotes from many tour companies from Safaribooking website. We wanted someone with local knowledge and expertise. I researched hundreds of safari companies, reading reviews, looking for any bad reviews or experiences people shared. Now you don’t have to the search. Just in case if you are searching Topy Tours reviews and company info, " Quaggay Topy Tours was the original name and to keep it simple they now known as Topy Tours. I am so glad that book with Topy Tours and you’ll have a top-notch safari experience! Everything was perfect for our 9 day tour.
Communication was very easy with JACKSON prior to and during our tour. Everything was made easy from inquiry to booking till the very end of our tour. Tour Coordinator Jackson was extremely helpful, informed and an excellent communicator. We were able to customized our own, private Serengeti safari within our budget. I changed my mind on our dates & itinerary multiple times, so that my family get to see the most in given times frame before finally booking and Jackson was incredibly patient and helpful. Cost of tour is the best I got when compared to different quotes I received from other companies.
We tour almost all the world famous National Parks in Tanzania, customized all in one Safari trip - Arusha, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, North / West / Central / East / South Seregenti (chasing great Migration ) , Lake Natron and Ngorongoro Crater. At the end of the trip we added at the last minute and decided to visit Wild Life Sanctuary near Arusha and it was the best decision of our trip. At the sanctuary, we got to feed and pet the fully grown wild animals including Giraffe / Zebra / impalas / Antelopes / Lion. We had no idea how completely unique and stunning our tour will be. The lodges were carefully selected and also very good, well maintained and exceeded our expectations. It was a unique experience for us to stay overnight in the wild. We experienced wild life outdoor night experience and saw many animals around the tent lodges. The tented lodges are very safe and security all the time provided you stick to the rules and regulations.
Our driver & guide AMOUR was exceptional, extremely knowledgeable about the Safari National Parks, friendly, relaxed and open to whatever we wanted to do & wherever we wanted to go. On one occasion, we spend long game drive time n the park and it got dark. And when is dark in serengeti, it is really "dark and scary". Our driver had exceptional GPS skills and we found the lodge which was newly built and had no visible directions. nOur safari was a magical experience thanks to our wonderful guide, We couldn't have asked for more. During our 9 day trip, we were able to see BIG FIVE, although RHINO was difficult to see and only found in Ngorongoro crater, we were able to view from distance but we managed it. We even saw LEOPARD, which is the rarest of all the animals to see as they live on trees. Overall we did approximately 3000 km ( 2000 miles) cross country game parks
We did not visited Tanzania only, but in fact we made friends for long lasting relationship !!”
Awesome Safari!!!
“The professional and friendliness of the tour operators was amazing. From airport pick up, hotel stays, meals and safaris, everything was as expected or above.”
Common questions
It is a dramatic alkaline lake known for flamingos, stark scenery and a quieter feel than the main parks.
Yes, it can be intensely hot and dusty. Light clothing, sun protection and water are essential.
Expect stark alkaline shores, possible flamingo flocks and wide Rift Valley views. It is more about landscape and atmosphere than classic big game density.
Northern Serengeti time supports migration viewing when herds are in the north for your dates.
Optional walks to viewpoints or waterfalls involve heat and uneven ground. We tailor activity level on request.
