Tanzania is a year-round safari destination, but the best time depends on what you want to experience. The Great Migration, wildlife viewing, and quieter travel seasons each have their own highlights. We'll help you choose the best time based on your interests.
We recommend at least 5–7 days to experience the highlights of Tanzania's Northern Circuit. Longer safaris of 8–10 days allow you to explore more parks at a relaxed pace and include areas such as Northern or Western Serengeti.
If you'd like to include Mount Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, or Southern Tanzania, we can design a longer itinerary tailored to your interests.
This depends on your interests and travel season. Popular Northern Circuit destinations include Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and the Serengeti. We can recommend the ideal combination based on your travel dates and safari goals.
Absolutely. Your safari can be tailored around your preferred travel dates, budget, accommodation style, activities, and destinations. Whether you're planning a honeymoon, family safari, Great Migration experience, or cultural adventure, we can create a journey around you.
Safari days often begin early, when wildlife is most active and the morning light creates excellent viewing conditions. However, the schedule can be adjusted depending on your itinerary, activities, and preferences.
We recommend lightweight, comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. A light jacket is also useful for the cooler mornings and evenings, especially in the Ngorongoro Highlands.
We're happy to help. If you have a question about Tanzania, your itinerary, accommodation, activities, or planning your trip, simply get in touch with our team and we'll be happy to assist.
