After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will board the safari vehicle and begin your journey descending into the crater. Ngorongoro is famed as a wildlife refuge and is the largest intact caldera in the world. A game drive in Ngorongoro provides the best opportunity to see the Big Five on a single game drive! The lush plains of the lake-studded crater floor and the towering 600m (2,000ft) cliffs that enclose it on all sides make for a breathtaking panorama, making the crater one of the most photographed places in the world. In the afternoon, you will pause for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool picnic site before proceeding with the game drive. Later, after the game drive, you will ascend the crater and drive to your lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

“The safari tour itself was, generally speaking, very good. We could see a lot of animals and most of all, we could see the wildebeast crossing the Mara river. The guide and driver was very knowledgeable and fun. He could have provided proactively more information on animals and nature. In some occasions, he was not very consistent pressuring us to be fast taking pictures or not stopping for animals in order to see more / better animals later that day, and the next hour, he would stop for more than an hour to help another car having a brake down... At the Mara river, we didn t have a very good sight spot as all other drivers were faster and rushed to the best spots close to the shore. Apparently our driver didn t want to get fined for being too close to the shore. Logistically speaking, it went mostly well as the safari jeep was very good and we didn t have any technical issues. The tour, unfortunately, didn t start very well as the airport pick up was late (flat tire) and then wanted to drop us up at the wrong hotel (realized that 5min before arriving at the wrong hotel). For 3 out of the 8 nights, the reservation was for a double bed instead of twin beds as requested when booking the tour (issue was solved with hotels on the same evening).”
Amazing 7-day safari tour with Quagga Topy Tours
“We went on a 7-day private safari tour with Quagga Topy Tours for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. Everything was organized perfectly beforehand. Our guide, Ben, went above and beyond to exceed our expactions. He spoke English perfectly, knew all the details about flora and fauna and had such a sharp vision that he spotted animals from a very far distance. More than once, other guides asked him for help because they couldn't spot the animals themselves. The hotels and lodges were beautiful and the service in every single one of them was excellent. I 100% recommend a safari tour with Quagga Topy Tours.”
This safari was a breathtaking adventure through untouched wilderness, where you experience majestic
“Our safari with Quagga Topy Safaris and Tours was an unforgettable experience! We saw an incredible variety of animals – zebras, giraffes, elephants (really up close!), antelopes, gazelles, and pretty much every other African animal you can dream of from the Serengeti.
A special shoutout goes to our driver, Pfilip – he was absolutely amazing: friendly, highly experienced, always drove safely, and somehow always knew exactly where the animals were hiding. Thanks to him, we enjoyed every single moment.
The entire trip was perfectly organized. Our first lodge was beautiful – with a pool, stunningly decorated rooms, and animals right outside. The second lodge was located deep in the Serengeti – at night, you could hear the animals, which gave a magical sense of connection to nature.
At both places, we met some of the kindest and most genuine people we’ve ever encountered – warm, attentive, and always ready to help.
This safari was filled with unforgettable encounters, incredible moments, and true adventure.
A clear recommendation for Quagga Topy Safaris and Tours – and especially for Pfilip!”
