6-Day Safari on Foot & Wheels

Today, your safari adventure begins! After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel for a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival at the Park's gate, check in, and start your game drive. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and tree-climbing lions, as well as wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. The park is also home to unique baobab trees, some of which are over 8,000 years old. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Tarangire River picnic site, with expansive views over the plains. Afterward, continue with a game drive until late evening, then head to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will depart for the Serengeti. A long and bumpy road will take you about 4-5 hours of a fascinating game en route, driving up the crater highlands towards the vast plains of Serengeti. If the weather is clear and not foggy, you will stop at Ngorongoro Viewpoint to have a glimpse of the caldera for 10 minutes before continuing with your drive to Serengeti. You will stop for a picnic lunch at Naabi Hill Gate before checking into the park for an evening/sunset game drive, and witness incredible wildlife in the SerengetiAfter catching the sunset, you will proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, we recommend waking up early before sunrise. After your cup of coffee, you will head out for a sunrise game drive with your packed breakfast, and this time, most animals are active due to low temperatures and less heat. Around 10 am, you'll have a full breakfast in the bush at a carefully selected picnic spot. Afterward, you'll proceed with an en-route game drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Again, you will arrive at Naabi Hill gate around 2-3 pm for lunch, then check in at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afterward, you'll proceed to your lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

Following breakfast, you'll proceed with an early morning/sunrise game drive and descend the crater. Ngorongoro is a special place, and the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. This is a world unto itself, one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger-than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. In the late evening, you'll exit the crater and drive to your lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.

Following breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the park's gate and begin the adventure. Lake Manyara National Park is home to over 400 bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. The park also contains water buffalo, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and the world's largest concentration of baboons. Occasionally, you can spot the tree-climbing lions that the park is famous for. Lunch will be enjoyed at the picnic site in the afternoon, before proceeding with the game drive. After the game drive, you will exit the park and drive back to Arusha.
